What Is EMDR Therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a research-supported therapy that helps the brain fully process experiences that feel “stuck.” Rather than reliving trauma in detail, EMDR uses guided techniques to calm the nervous system and allow the brain to integrate painful experiences in a way that no longer overwhelms you.
EMDR isn’t about “moving on” or forgetting what happened. It’s about integrating the past so it no longer defines you or controls your present.
